Dear Birthmother

First we want you to know that this choice you are making is the most selfless act we can think of, and we already feel admiration for your decision. Adoption is a gift to so many people, and our prayers have been that this would be the way we would continue growing our family. Two years ago we began our family through adoption with our beautiful biracial son, and he has shown us what it means to love beyond measure. We prayed for months on how to share in this excitement with you as our Birthmother and we hope that you get to know us a little better and learn that we will give your baby all the love that we have and they will never have to settle for less. We hope that your child will always know the love that you have for them, and with that we will always talk about our Birthmother and what a gift that you have given us. We want adoption to be part of our everyday lives and for it to be used in conversation; our child will know that they were a gift to us and will always be a miracle in our lives. We pray that when they are ready they will want to know more about you and your decision and I know that we will be able to share that with them. We live in a town with cultural diversity and that provides all the essentials a growing child will need, great schools, wonderful sports and arts programs, and neighborhoods full of laughter and fun. Our home is lively and always has open doors. Our families are close to us and provide the greatest support system. We consider not only our relatives as family, but also our friends, they are our brothers and sisters and we could not have asked for a better "family." We have a strong faith and believe that God has given us so many gifts and we pray that the gift of another child will soon become a reality for us. We also have a church family that provides constant support, with a very large adoptive parent community and the gift of childcare. Our baby will be able to have a Christian education in their first months and years of life. We know your child will be loved at all times! We want to always provide the best for your child and know that you also want to give them the best that you can. This book will show you what we value and desire for our family, it will also show you how committed we are to becoming the best parents we can be. We have had great parents to help us grow into the adults we have become and know that we will take these same values and instill them into our child. Please know that we continue to pray for your strength and for the gift of a growing family.
